Limes is a seating system which discards traditional boundaries and draws its own. Thanks to the back support panels running along the entire perimeter of the bases, the sofa alters its landscape by adapting to contingent needs. The 2014 versions in fact have a fabric-covered shelf for use as a handy resting surface. Available in three depths – 20 cm, 40 cm or 80 cm – it serves as a small versatile table. The back support panels are in metal with chromed finish and also available with fabric coverings, 3,5 cm wide cotton tape and the new finish with 7 cm wide bands with tailored plaiting in both fabric and leather. The thin internal padding adds a 3D effect to the back panels. Covers are fully removable.

Design Sergio Bicego

Born in 1953 he left formal education and began, almost by chance, his experience in the field of the padded furniture. Fascinated by the world that surrounded him, he eagerly devoted himself to researching building forms and techniques which have borne fruit for the companies in which he worked. In 1991 he opened his studio as an independent designer and in 1993 he came across Saba Italia. New challenges and new incentives lead to the creation of the “nomad sofa”: Taos, Ananta, Limes, Nesting, Pixel. Creations that were born from reflection of new desires that encourage us to live in a less formal way, equipped with systems that enable change with simple gestures, by playing with shapes.
